AccVer & ListMDB |
||
| It is often necessary to install two or more
different versions of MS Access. You may be a developer
(like ourselves), you may be in the process of upgrading
Microsoft Office or you may have existing MS Access
databases that cannot be upgraded to the latest version. One of the problems you will have is opening the correct version of MS Access for each database. When you double click on an MDB/MDE in Explorer, it will open the default (or last used) version of Access which is not always what you want. To overcome this problem, we have developed ACCVER. When upgrading, it is an advantage to be able to list all databases on PCs, servers etc together with their version numbers. This will help in estimating the time and cost of the conversion and will also ensure that all databases requiring conversion have been identified. To assist with this process, we have developed LISTMDB. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions for more information on running multiple versions of MS Access. If you have any questions, suggestions or problems, please contact us. |
